We assist in providing radio communications for the local agencies and others during emergencies and special events. We have performed (for several years) and continue to provide both fire patrols and watches for both the US Forest Service and local Fire Officials. - Website

Idyllwild Emergency was established several years ago by Mountain Disaster Preparedness as a subscriber-based information source for individuals both on and off the “Hill.” 

 We will do our best to post fire or other notable emergency events that occur as soon as possible. For other official emergency information sources, please check Idyllwild Fire's Facebook page and WNKI 1610am radio. 

 Our brand new 2019 Spartan fire engine! She’s already pumped 1 structure fire in the short time she’s been in service. She has an EZ Track system on the front tires which acts as a type of 4 wheel drive. Hopefully it serves us well in the coming winter! 

 We integrate fire protection, natural resource management, and fire prevention under a single mission on behalf of the State and local communities. We strive to ensure the highest level of environmental protection in all our operations. 

The California Highway Patrol is a state law enforcement agency of the U.S. state of California. The CHP has primary patrol jurisdiction over all California highways and roads and streets outside city limits, and can exercise law enforcement powers anywhere within the state. 

 Riverside County, created in 1893 from portions of San Bernardino and San Diego counties, is the fourth largest in the state of California covering over 7,300 square miles.
