Idyllwild Rotary Charitable Fund: Serving a Community

The Idyllwild Rotary Charitable Fund (IRCF) is a nonprofit organization established in 2006 by the Idyllwild Rotary Club.  It was established to be the philanthropic arm of the Rotary Club. The charitable fund is primarily funded by the fund-raising activities of the Idyllwild Rotary Club and donations from concerned members of the club and the community.

Mission Statement & Goals

The mission statement, as found in the by-laws of the fund, state: "The purpose of IRCF is to encourage, foster and promote the intellectual and civic advancement, cultural and philanthropic endeavors for the community and residents of Idyllwild and the surrounding mountain communities."

The IRCF is governed by a board of directors composed of active and honorary members of the Idyllwild Rotary Club.

Benefits and Demographics Served

The IRCF has helped to create a vibrant community by providing grants to local organizations and occasionally to individuals.  The fund has provided support to organizations such as the Idyllwild Scholarship Fund, the Idyllwild American Legion, the Idyllwild Community Center, Friends of the Idyllwild Library, the Idyllwild Garden Club and many others.

Application Process and Eligibility Criteria

The IRCF accepts applications from local organizations and individuals who require financial support. The application process is straightforward, and interested parties can download the Idyllwild Rotary Charitable Fund Grant Request Form listed above. The eligibility criteria vary depending on the nature of the request.

The Future of IRCF

Looking towards the future, the IRCF has set ambitious goals and objectives. The fund aims to increase outreach and support to underserved groups and individuals in the community. Additionally, they aim to expand their reach and create partnerships with other nonprofit organizations in the region.
